Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We had a chaos as always, but it was fun and tasty. Andreas will upload some pictures later in the week. However, he has taken the time to update the code behind the movie page, so newest movies are now displayed at the top! If you appreciate this update, he will happily accept beer donations... :)

Christmas is almost here and we only have a few more days before Christina's parents and brother come to visit. All Christmas decorations are done, so are most of the presents. Christina has even started preparing some of the food we are going to enjoy on Christmas Eve! And as you can see, we have a a nice, big Christmas tree this year (as always).
Well, yes, that is a 10f (3m) tall tree. Thank you for asking!
December 9th the annual Swedish Christmas Coffee Thingy (tm) went back into action after a year of absence. We had homemade gloegg (tasty!), lussekatter, pepparkakor, arraksbollar, and much more. People really seemed to enjoy it and all went very well except for a small episode where Christina tried to burn down the house, but did not succeed (last time we have lit candles on top of the mantle above the new fireplace).
The kids have taken the opportunity over the last couple of days to enjoy a bit of stomach flu. There is nothing more fun than having to clean up after a sick kid in the middle of the night... :) All is good now and they are back to normal.

We went pumpkin picking with the Olsen's yesterday at Serres Farm. The kids even cooperated long enough for Jesper to snap a picture of ALL the kids!

Wow, it is October 1st here in Redmond and we around 20-22 degrees C and sun! Weather over the last 1-2 months has been awesome, with almost no rain at all. Lawn is nice and brown... :)
A few weeks ago we spent a long weekend in Idaho. We rented a house (together with the Olsen's) about 30-45 minutes north of Coeur d'Alene, at a lake named Cocolalla Lake. While there, we visited an indoor water park named Raptor Reef and spent a full day at Silverwood Theme Park. The kids had a blast at both places!
House is coming along great. Both fireplaces have been replaced and the deck is now done. The final touches in the form of the hot tub, deck lights and a paver walkway were completed a few weeks ago. We still need to add a few plants, trees, and grass to increase the privacy and make it a bit more cozy, but it looks awesome already.

If you haven't already, you should really check out the picture page. The third set from our trip to Sweden just went live.
The weeks since we came back from Sweden have been nothing but busy. Andreas has been busy at work and Christina's days are filled with taking care of the two monsters. On top of that, we are also trying to finish of the last things on the deck: Furniture, lights, hot tub, plants, and so on. As soon as have had breakfast, we are going to head out and put an order in for that hot tub. We've decided on one from Clearwater Spas, which are made locally in Woodinville. In a few weeks, we will also get our fireplaces replaced. Happy times!

Wow, another month or so without updates. Guess we should be happy no one is paying us for keeping this page up to date! :) But, again, we do have a good reason: Andreas has been on the road for the last 9 weeks. At 5.30am every Monday morning, he was picked up to go to the airport to fly to Denver, only to get back home around 8pm on Friday evening. Fun times!
Ohhh, by the way, Christina has a new cell phone which she loves! Let's welcome her to the 21st century! :)

As most of you know (seems like parts of the family missed this and forgot to call... *nudge* *nudge*) Tilde turned three yesterday! We had a brunch-style birthday party for her with friends, pancakes, scones, muffins, and presents. Among all the cool new toys, Tilde got a balance bike. It's like a normal bike but does not have pedals. Too bad it turned out to be slightly too big, so we had to do a temporary switch with Bekka.
The weather has been quite nice during the weekend with temperatures in the fifties and sun. This made it possible to get some yard work done: We even mowed the lawn for the first time this year! House updates are moving along and we are getting the carpet replaced next week. After that comes the new patio which should be started around mid-April. Busy, busy.

We are back from Hawaii! Two weeks of nice, warm, sunny weather combined with good food / drinks and company made for a very nice vacation. We also got to come home to new hardwood floors throughout the main floor of the house, something we really looked forward to. With some luck, we should be able to post a write-up of the trip as well as a dump of pictures during the week. Stay tuned!

As you can see, we just got a decent dump of snow and more is apparently on the way:
Today we celebrate MLK Day here in the US. Apart from all the good things he did for the country, Andreas also get the day off. Due to the snow we've mostly spent the day around the house, but we did venture out to Tilde's gymnastics at Northwest Aerials. It is supposed to start snowing again later tonight and keep up until Wednesday morning or so. If this snow dump follows all earlier ones, Seattle will shut down fairly soon. Guess Andreas will work from home tomorrow! :)
The rest of the weekend has been fairly normal. We had dinner with Joern, Deanna and Nikolai Saturday, and dinner with the Olsen's yesterday. We also found time to run some errands, do household chores and get some things done on the house.
Oh, almost forgot! New Years Eve was quite eventful. We had dinner with the Olsen's and Dorde actually decided to go into labor as we finished up the main course. Four weeks too early. They left us in charge of their house, kids, dog and headed over to Evergreen Hospital while we finished up the dessert and wine. Kristoffer Birk Olsen was born in the evening of January 1st, 2012. Both mom and baby are doing well after some minor complications.
